Ora Biomedical
MMC Database — community-screened lifespan data
Search the largest open-access Caenorhabditis elegans lifespan-screening database from Ora Biomedical's automated WormBot platform. Every entry traces back to a sponsored experiment with documented dose, control, and per-worm survival data.
About the database
The Million Molecule Challenge (MMC) Database compiles results from Ora's crowdsourced lifespan screen. Researchers, biotech sponsors, and citizen scientists propose compounds; we run them on the WormBot platform; the per-worm survival data feeds straight into this dashboard.
Use the explorer below to browse the leaderboard of top life-extenders, search by intervention, and view Kaplan-Meier survival curves for individual compounds.

Before you dive in — a quick orientation
- Treat single-experiment hits as hypotheses, not conclusions. One WormBot run is one experiment; effects can shift on replication.
- Antibiotic / antifungal hits deserve skepticism — they can extend worm lifespan via dietary restriction on the E. coli food source, not via their nominal target.
- The Top Treatments leaderboard requires ≥8 worm deaths per well on average. Lower-N results remain visible in the Compiled Data tab; they're flagged for repeat replication.
- Cross-replicate before extrapolating to mammals. Worm lifespan effects predict mammalian effects imperfectly — look for compounds confirmed across genetic backgrounds and labs.
