Million Molecule Challenge

Testing one million longevity interventions in the open.

The Million Molecule Challenge is Ora’s program to test 1,000,000 longevity interventions on the automated lifespan and healthspan platform in C. elegans.

Why run it

In mammals, caloric restriction and rapamycin remain the reference interventions decades after their discovery. The field has searched a narrow space around what it already knows.

Our early combination screens point to two- to five-way combinations as the next space to test at scale. The resulting dataset also trains models for finding new longevity interventions.

Open data

Sponsors co-own the resulting data and can access both raw and analyzed results. Data is deposited into an open-access database unless a sponsor opts out, with leaderboard rankings for comparison.
