Ora Biomedical is proud to announce that one of our high school mentees has won a gold medal at the 2025 Washington State Science and Engineering Fair (WSSEF) for his project titled “Using C. elegans to Assess the Specificity of Senolytic Agent R406.”
Under the mentorship of Ora’s CTO, Dr. Ben Blue, the student dedicated weekends to conducting experiments using our WormBot-AI platform. This advanced system combines robotics and artificial intelligence to facilitate high-throughput screening of live C. elegans specimens. His research focused on evaluating the specificity of the senolytic agent R406, aiming to determine its effectiveness in targeting senescent cells without affecting healthy ones.
The project not only demonstrated the student’s commitment and scientific acumen but also highlighted the potential of integrating AI-driven platforms in biomedical research at the high school level. His findings contribute valuable insights into the field of senolytics and aging research.
We congratulate our mentee on this remarkable achievement and look forward to his future contributions to science.
